Permanent Makeup
Prep & Aftercare
Any cosmetic tattoo service is a permanent change to your appearance, and we want all of our clients to achieve the best results. The best results come from the best, healthy skin as a canvas. Because of that, we have strict guidelines. There are Do's and Don't's that HAVE to be followed leading up to your cosmetic tattoo service. Here is an outline of what to discontinue & what to do to prepare. Please also make sure to read our policies as all booking fees are NONREFUNDABLE.

If you have any previous permanent cosmetics, we require you to email us clear photos of your tattoo work for approval before booking, as not all previous work can be covered or tattooed over. Please send images to gemcityglow@gmail.com. If you come in to your appointment with previous work without prior approval and it cannot be touched up or corrected, your booking fee will NOT be returned.
-
If you have ANY current OR prior medical conditions, are on any blood thinning medications or prescribed medications, contact the shop PRIOR to booking as you may not be a candidate for permanent makeup or a doctors note may be required. If you fail to inform us of any medical conditions or any medications and we are unable to tattoo you, your booking fee will NOT be returned.

To ensure long-lasting results and a smooth healing process, follow these aftercare tips:
-
Keep it Clean: Gently clean the treated area with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and water.
-
Avoid Moisture: Refrain from exposing the area to excessive moisture, such as saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pools.
-
Gentle Patting: Pat the area dry with a clean, soft cloth—avoid rubbing.
-
Skip the Sun: Protect your new makeup from direct sunlight and tanning beds during the initial healing period.
-
No Scratching or Picking: Resist the temptation to scratch or pick at the treated area; let it heal naturally.
-
Limited Makeup: While healing, minimize makeup application in the treated area to allow for proper recovery.
